Design, Craft, Taste, Art, Culture are often brought up in conversations as I navigate the space. What does it mean to be an designer? Can it be used synonymously with being an artist? Creator?
I like to call myself a cross-pollinator designer, with the innate ability to extract systems, spatial logics, and fundamentals across multiple disciplines when producing designs.
Design is such a fundamental part of our life. Everything is designed, from the lamp above your head to the device you're using to read this. Everything is designed. And guided by Paula Scher's words, "You have to get bad in order to get good," I continuously strive to improve my skills and challenge myself with new projects.
